These photos show the setup used to engrave the 360 degree marks on the toolholder used on the tool & Cutter Grinder. The base was engraved the same way. The program was very simple, used in conjunction with the programmable Sherline rotary table. The G-code used a repeat function. I programmed the cutting depth, and various line lengths manually, and inserted a 1 second delay between "strokes". I had to manually step the rotary table after each line, so gave it a time delay to move (and me to react). A carbide engraving cutter was used. I didn't use a tailstock, since there was not much extending out from the chuck.
