Here are a few photos showing grinding the various angles used on a standard lathe toolbit. (Top 4 photos). The two photos above show grinding a carbide cutoff blade. The blade is thinner than the opening in the holder, but the locking screws simply clamp it to the bottom of the slot. I use a diamond wheel for the carbide. The entire toolholder is slid back and forth manually on the table. If the hand crank was used, I think I would wear it out. I put a protective sheet over the table when grinding, to keep grit from wearing on the table surface.
