A FEW MORE ENHANCEMENTS

A Carriage stop.  I wanted to eliminate the possibility of "crashing" into the rotating chuck.  I made it out of some A-2 Tool Steel (just 'cause I had some laying around).  A 1/4 - 20 adjustable screw, with knurled head and knurled locknut provide some latitude in the stop position.  It clamps to the underside of  the way using a socket head capscrew and knurled locking screw.  The head of the lock screw is large enough that it can be secured without using a wrench.
The Carriage Stop installed.  It slides easily along the V-Way, and locks tightly with finger-tightening of the knurled lock screw.
Another use for the Magnetic Back Dial Indicator.  It allows .001 precision when setting the carriage stop.
I got tired of finding the correct wrench for the carriage lock.  A home-made square hole wrench was made, and it will stay on the locknut, out of the way, but always there when needed.
The wrench stays put nicely, and tightens with 1/4 turn to securely lock the carriage when needed.
