DRO Alignment
I used what I think was a rather novel approach to aligning the scale of the DRO.  A 0.0001 (yep, tenth's) reading indicator was attached to a magnetic base, and I used the existing X and Y DRO for positioning the table.  The mill table Y axis was moved so the indicator was aligned with the edge of the scale at the top, and then the X axis was moved till the dial indicator had moved 1 revolution.  The X and Y position on the DRO was then zeroed.

Next, the table was moved away from the dial indicator in the X, and then the Y, so the knee could be lowered down to check the bottom edge of the scale.  It was necessary to move the table so nothing would bump the dial indicator when the knee was lowered.

Once the knee was lowered I moved the table back to Y zero. and then moved X to zero, and checked the dial indicator reading.  The scale was adjusted to get identical readings on both the top and bottom edge, it took a while, but the scale is now vertical along the front and side edges.
I would have been worn out with all that cranking of the knee if it were not for the drill .  The table really moves up and down fast with this attachment.
