GOVERNOR ARM BRACKET
The casting was attached to a piece of 1/2" rod to use as a chucking and holding fixture for future machining steps.
The bracket after first turning operations.  One side was turned, then the casting was reversed on the chucking rod, and the other side completed.  The angle on the wings was developed as well..
The bracket was clamped in the milling vise by the chucking rod, and the wings are milled.
The inside slot was milled using the same setup.
The chucking rod was removed, and the holes for the arm pins were drilled..
I drilled the two mounting holes in the bracket and flywheel simultaneously, guaranteeing alignment.  A 1/2" dia section of rod was inserted through the hub and bracket to hold it concentric, and superglue assured that it would not shift.
