SOME SOUTHBEND ACCESSORIES I HAVE MADE
A Knurling Tool I made from  plans in
one of  Guy Lautard's Bedside Readers
A Tailstock Die holder.  Altough
threading is easy on the S.B.,
sizes like 2-56 make the die holder
handy.
A spring-loaded wiggler, for centering stock in the 4-jaw.
Also from one of Lautard's plans.
A stop for the cross-slide when threading.  Allows re-positioning the cross slide to a starting point, then dial in cut on the compound. I got the idea from a picture in one one of the Southbend accessory catalogs.
Here is the slide stop installed.  The long screw allows setting how far the cross slide can be retracted.  The knurled knob locks the dovetailed stop.  There is a brass tip in this screw.
The original dials were incredibly small, so I made larger ones.  The original is sitting on the top seft side of the compound, for comparison.
