I wanted to assemble things to see how the detent catch block and detent blade aligned, and if the bushings I added affected the meshing of the gears. Closeup of the gears on the right.
Closeup of the governor. Notice the two screws just above the gov. gear - I guess this is where the Mag would mount. (A Webster, I think).
The detent catch block and plate have been hardened, after I determined the fit was OK. They engage perfectly.
I made a spring and spring collar for the side rod. Not having seen any engines, I might have to change this, but for now, it works as intended.
