HERE ARE SOME OF THE NEW PARTS I HAVE MADE. THE OLD AND NEW ARE SHOWN TO PORTRAY THE AMOUNT OF WEAR ON THE OLD PARTS. I WONDER IF OIL WAS USED - OR IF THIS ENGINE WAS RUN IN A VERY ABRASIVE ENVIRONMENT . . .
This is the pin used on the Rocker Arm.
This pin was the one in the governor weights
I made a new rod for the latch arm
The head of the pin used to push the governor weights was badly worn (shown on the right)
These parts (and others) were made on 20 Aug 2003
New gib keys were made on 31 Aug. The old ones are also shown. Setting up to get the taper right took some time, but the second one was easy.
